Stop Telling Me about Your Dead Friends

Stop Telling Me About Your Dead Friends is a textile installation created to draw attention to the everyday absurd conversations and interactions that people with disabilities encounter. These quilts are intended to make visible the way we emotionally engage with people who have disabilities, highlighting the powerful and lasting effect these communications can have – even when we are too desensitised to truly comprehend.

Exhibition: Cool Change Contemporary, Perth, 2019

My art practice is created on the lands of the Gadigal and Wangal people. I acknowledge their ongoing spiritual and cultural ties to the waterways, land and sky since time immemorial. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
